I was approached by a member of the Oklahoma Junior Rodeo Association to design,create and host a website at a low cost for the non-profit organization. They had gave me some examples of other websites similar in nature. Most of the websites I looked at were probably not done by a web design professional. Non-profits usually can not afford to use professionals in a lot of cases.
Naturally the the theme was going to be western or rodeo related. I was able to accomplish this with the paper on the fence post and adding the rodeo silhouette images giving it a up to date look and feel unlike the other sites of the same theme.
Added a flash photo album to give the member’s the ability to look at and print pictures online. Makes it very nice for the parents to be able to this. This flash album gives them the ability to add different albums on separate pages which makes the organization of the pictures much more user friendly.
Online entry and membership forms were added so members and non-members will be able to print them off. This feature is a great time saver for everybody.
Website was done using WordPress because of the ease of use of the admin panel.
Provided training for the use of the admin panel and flash photo album.
Done all basic search engine optimization such as title, descriptions and meta tags along with creating and submitting xml sitemap to Google, Yahoo, Msn and Ask.com.
Tulsa Ok Web Design also provided took care of the domain name registration and hosting for the OJRA.
